All about Days of Fun

I started childminding in 1999 and am registered with Ofsted and insured with the NCMA.

I live with my five children - Charlotte aged 19 (who works full time but is available for babysitting and is also my weekend assistant), Harriett aged 13, George aged 11, William aged 9 and Henry aged 3.

This is a non-smoking home, I will not take the children into any smoking environment.

The house has been adapted to accommodate all children, there is a well resourced playroom.

My kitchen is registered with Kennet council environmental health.

My back garden is fenced of into age related play areas - the pre walking area has full safety matting in place.

In the front garden I have pets and a pets corner. I also have two dogs, three cats and two shetland ponies, one of which is purely kept for the childminding children to learn to ride on.

The front garden is designed to encourage green fingers. There are topiary plants, fruit and vegetables currently being grown by the children.

I have been driving for many years and hold a full clean driving licence. Weekly outings and experiences are organised to help promote children’s awareness of the world around them. The children and I have visited the local Fire Station, Oceanarium where we were invited to weigh the turtles. Other trips and experiences include trips to the local park, Moors Valley, Paultons Park, Butterfly World and many more adventures .

My Experience

Previously before childminding I was a chef- i also worked at the children’s hospice both these vocations provided me with many opportunities and experiences but my biggest experience has been raising my own children,

My Availability

Days of Fun is open from 06.00 - 18.00 Monday to Friday however I do try to remain flexible able to meet parents working hours.

I am happy to work at weekends and available for overnight childcare

I take just four weeks paid holiday each year.

Currently I collect and deliver children from Kimpton Primary School, Castle Primary School and Ludgershall Play Group

Where times do not coincide I can collect Pre-School children from other school if required.
